About this Journal
Dear Subscriber,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.
It is with a mixture of gratitude and regret that we announce the temporary suspension of the Journal of Global Radiology for at least one year. This decision has not been made lightly, as we are fully aware of the importance the journal holds in advancing global radiology practices and research in Low- and Middle-income Countries (LMIC).
Since its establishment in 2014, the journal has been committed to enhancing knowledge and supporting the dissemination of critical radiological advancements across the world. With the unwavering support of our editorial board, contributors, and subscribers, we have achieved significant milestones in encouraging and promoting research, education, and collaboration in radiology in widely disparate regions of the world. The Journal of Global Radiology has served as a platform for many relevant articles and innovations in the field, helping to foster an inclusive and global perspective on radiological practices in LMIC.
However, due to recent financial challenges, and ever-increasing strain on radiologists’ time and resources, we have found it impossible to maintain the journal's operations at the same level of excellence. Additionally, the shortage of available expert radiologists to serve as manuscript reviewers has contributed to the decision to suspend the journal’s activities.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation for your support throughout the years. Your commitment has been instrumental in enabling the journal to fulfill its mission and continue its critical work in the global radiology community. We remain hopeful that, with time, the circumstances will improve, and we will be able to resume publication.
In the meantime, we sincerely thank you for your understanding and continued patronage. Should there be any further updates, we will be sure to inform you promptly.
With sincere gratitude and best wishes,
Sarwat Hussain, MD, FRCR, FACR
Sughra Raza, MD, FSBI, FACR
Max Rosen, MD, MPH, FACR
Maria Helena Mendonca, MD, PhD
