Originally conceptualized as a UMass Chan Medical School Capstone project, Streams of Consciousness (ISSN 2640-0049) is a collaborative project between Tom Ford (SOM ’18), William-Bernard Reid-Varley (PGY-2, Psychiatry), and Colin Whitworth (PGY-2, Psychiatry) that aims to allow students in the School of Medicine, Graduate School of Nursing, and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, as well as residents, faculty, patients, and other members of the UMass Chan and UMass Memorial Health community to channel their experiences through works of poetry, prose, and photography. In sharing your unique perspective, we hope to help the members of our community understand and appreciate each other in ways that were previously difficult to achieve.
